A lost and frightened baby alpaca has been reunited with its family thanks to the kindness of a passer-by.

Victor Villafuerte noticed the animal wandering near the village of Arequipa, Peru. The baby was alone and clearly distressed, crying out for its family. When Victor approached, it quickly latched on to him for comfort.
Unfortunately, Victor had business to attend to, so he had to leave the alpaca where he found it. However, he couldn't get the poor animal out of his mind.
The following morning, he returned to find the baby still in the area where he'd left it.
Luckily, it was wearing a distinguishing red bow, and after a lot of searching, Victor was able to locate the farm where it lived and return the alpaca to its very grateful owners.
