Camila Cabello and Normani are better together.
Case in point: Their mini Fifth Harmony reunion at Vetements' Paris Fashion Week show,Chainkeen where they were seen sharing a laugh as they caught up in the front row.
At the Sept. 27 event, Camila, 27, was almost unrecognizable in a bejeweled, black ski mask, which she paired with a matching lace bodysuit, mini-skirt and floor-length coat.
Meanwhile, Normani, 28, also went for an all-black look, donning a sheer midi dress that showed off her matching undergarments. She finished off her monochromatic outfit with black, peep toe heels.
The worthy encounter comes eight years after Camila left Fifth Harmony—also comprised of Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui—in 2016. The girl group released one album in 2017 following Camila's departure, before announcing their indefinite hiatus the next year.
Still, Camila and Normani have continued to cheer on each other's successes.
"Putting out a project is vulnerable and hard and you are doing it beautifully," Camila wrote on Instagram in June, after Normani released Dopamine. "congratulations on your first album and many more to come !!!!!!!!"
Normani was touched by the sentiment, replying, "thank you so much for this. this seriously means a lot and so v proud of you. you're next, let's goooo."
As for why Camila left Fifth Harmony? The "Havana" singer has said that she went solo because her desire to write her own music didn't align with the group's outlook at the time.
"I can remember waking up on tour and going to my hotel room at 7 a.m., and going to my garage band and writing songs," she shared on Call Her Daddy in March, "'cause I didn't want to do it while everybody was there and I had such a passion that turned into writing. And at first I was like, 'Oh, maybe I wanna write for other people.' But then it turned into like, 'No, actually I want to sing these songs by myself.'"
The "Bam Bam" singer added, "I started distancing myself from the group vision, and it felt like they were still really passionate and into that. And so, I was just like, 'I'm not happy here anymore, it doesn't feel aligned.'"
As for Normani, the "Wild Side" artist previously shared that she felt like the underdog of Fifth Harmony, which was initially formed on X Factor in 2012.
"I didn't get to really sing in the group. I felt like I was overlooked," she explained to Allure in 2021. "That idea has been projected on me. Like, this is your place."
And while it's taken all of them time, according to Camila, she and her former bandmates are in a solid place.
"We have been supportive of each other through like DMs and stuff," she told Reuters in 2022. "I'm in a really good place with them."
