Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell was injured in a shooting Saturday night in Sanford, Florida, the team announced.
The Texans said Sunday that Dell sustained a minor wound but was released from the hospital in good spirits.
"He sustained a minor wound but has been released from the hospital and is in good spirits," the post said. The Texans said they were in contact with him and his family and would provide more information later.
USA TODAY Sports reached out to the Seminole County Sheriff's Office, which confirmed that officers responded to a shooting early Sunday at the Cabana Live nightclub. But a sheriff's department spokesperson would not confirm the identities of any of the victims.
According to an arrest report, a 16-year-old suspect was arrested after witnesses reported that someone inside the club pulled out a gun and began firing toward a crowd of people. He has been charged with four counts, including attempted homicide and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

Florida Today, part of the USA TODAY Network, reported that 10 people were injured in the Cabana Live shooting.
Dell, a native of nearby Daytona Beach, Florida, was a third-round pick by the Texans in last year's draft and was one of the biggest rookie surprises. He caught 47 passes for 709 yards and seven touchdowns before suffering a broken leg in a Week 13 game against the Denver Broncos.
Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said last month that Dell was on track with his rehab and expected to be ready for offseason workouts.
Verbal altercation escalates into gunshots
While USA TODAY has yet to independently confirm that Dell's injury stemmed from the Cabana Live shooting, Seminole County Sheriff's Office investigators told reporters that a verbal altercation escalated and that the shooter shot 10 people before being apprehended by a security officer working at the venue. The victims suffered non-life-threatening wounds, mostly to the lower extremities, deputies said.
The venue had been reserved for a private event, according to Cabana Live's Facebook post. The Seminole County Sheriff's Office told local media in a statement that due to the large number of people there deputies were patrolling the area around the establishment when they heard gunshots and saw the crowd dispersing.
The suspect was booked into the Juvenile Detention Center, officials said.
